  I had the absolute BEST experience at AutoZone today thanks to a precious lady named Donna and an older gentlemen named David. I only say older gentleman, because I saw a younger gentlemen named David (he was also his as nice and actually sang Donna’s praises). Donna helped me the majority of the time and she was truly an angel. She installed my battery for me and walked me through every single step so I could understand what she was doing and feel more confident moving forward. She was patient, kind, and never made me feel rushed or silly for asking questions. My husband typically handles things like this, but he’s had a lot on his plate and couldn’t get to it…so I came in wanting to learn for myself. I truly believe ignorance is not an excuse, especially as a mom of three little girls. I want my daughters to grow up knowing simple car basics — how to check oil, change a tire, or at least understand when something needs attention. David was just as wonderful. He even offered to change the battery himself because he didn’t want Donna to have to do it. He helped, but Donna was fierce and confident and did the majority of it. It was such a genuine moment of care and respect. What touched me even more was that he encouraged me to bring my girls up there anytime and he’d be happy to help teach them whatever he could. That meant the world to me as a mother trying to raise confident, capable young women. To top it all off, after I left, Donna actually came outside to let me know they owed me money back for the old battery core …and refunded me $24. That level of honesty and follow-through says everything about their character. The whole experience was fast, smooth, and full of kindness during a day I really needed it. I’m so grateful for both of them and wanted to make sure their excellent service was recognized. Thank you, Donna and David, for being such a blessing today!

  All AutoZones provide free diagnostic testing on majority, if not all vehicles. This has been a readily available service for all customers for years. Two staff members would not provide such service due to “feeling uninterested” mixed with a poor explanation to why they could not. Honestly, I am kinda shocked.
