It was quite nice to look for the parts, their availability at my store, the price, and read other's reviews on the parts to help make a decision. The Staff were helpful and had great attitudes. They had the parts ready in 30 minutes and upon pickup, reminded me of an item that I had forgotten to buy to make the process smoother. The store was well stocked, clean, and well lit. The prices were visible on the shelves and the Staff were attentive to the customers and helpful in looking up items on their in-house system for my next project. Repairing a vehicle is rarely a "fun time" for me, but the Staff here helped my day and my repair go more smoothly,

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
