In addition, they could not get it until … wait 2:30… no wait, the next day… Very inconvenient. Then they sent me to their competitor. I have used Advanced Auto for years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I was told that it seems to be an inventory issue, and this “always happens” in the parts business. Truly dissatisfied with this online transaction.

I was able to coast into Advance Auto (my goal) and lickety-split I was able to get the codes read and the battery tested. Turns out it was the throttle body controller/sensor/doohickey/whatsamajiggit having a senior moment after too much adrenaline. Whew! The GM assisting me gave me hope. Sure enough, I was lucky - a short nap and my aging car was road ready again. The check engine light even cleared itself later! But, if it wasn’t okay, I was in the very right place for help on a Saturday when every repair shop was seemingly closed. Now I just have to buy 1083 dangling coconut scented air fresheners from them to clear my karmic debt…
