Let me first off and say I'm not looking for anything, however I feel like I have a obligation to explain what happened to me. Okay, I just moved here to Columbia, the location by brentwood (awesome location) anyways, went in and got my oil changed about 1 week ago. For about a week I've smelt like oil burning or rubber burning. Well this morning I drove to work about an hour away.. stopped at a light and when I say smoke... I mean smoooke.. it appeared the car was on fire, kid you not!!! Anyways pulled to a gas station across the street from my job, opened the hood .... smoke...looked underneath car... nothing but oil . When I say nothing but oil, I MEAN nothing but oil, dripping off everything underneath. Smoke... omg smoke. I thought let me get this across the street to my job just in case I need it to stay here for awhile . Worried about getting towed at gas station. Got to work, pulled latch on hood, called Co worker. Co worker cane out I looked at the oil housing (where the filter goes) yes its on top of motor. Co worker pointed and said it looks like its leaking from there..... maybe a cracked housing ???? Okay okay I'll get to the problem..... took wrench opened the oil housing and noticed the O ring wasnt in the correct spot. It was down by the thread.... thought.... that isn't right at all. Co worker said... that isnt right. I would bet the cap was under pressure and leaked . He was right, I bought a new filter, O ring , oil and installed. And no leaks. Now the point to this is... I work an hour away from home, if this would have lost of alll the oil on the highway the motor would have been shot. Thank the lord it happened close to work. Like I said bought new stuff o ring, oil, filter, changed in parking lot at work. Started car and no leaks. Now went to express, talked to manager? Told him what happened.... he said he would talk to his people. He did give me half off another oil change, nice but... I lost 100 to express plus 50 bucks to advanced to fix. I say all this to say.... I would really consider who you have doing your oil , car maintenance. For me... I won't be back, and I do think that half off was a insult. Even though I did appreciate the jester . My oil change cost me 150 total. I did say... how do I know it will be right next time?? He (manager?) Said he will do it himself. But how do I trust them again? I can't and won't be back. I'll be doing the maintenance myself for now on.
