EDIT TO ADD: Don't waste your time visiting the link in the reply, they will only tell you someone will contact you and they never do. They do not care about their customers safety.
My recent experience at this Enterprise location was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about safety, professionalism, and customer service.
We arrived for our 3:30 PM reservation and were told to “sit down for a moment.” That “moment” became over an hour of waiting with no updates. It eventually became clear that the vehicle we reserved wasn’t available, and staff had no idea when—or if—it would arrive.
When a vehicle was finally offered, an employee walked us out for an inspection. After we completed it and returned inside, we were told the car was under an active safety recall and could not be legally rented. We then stood at the counter for another 15 minutes with no employees present and no explanation about what would happen next.
Eventually, we were told a different car was available. While the paperwork was already being processed and the keys were about to be handed to me, my husband checked the vehicle and discovered the tags were expired. When we mentioned this, the employee seemed surprised, and the manager, Trey, stepped in.
Instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, the manager argued with us for several minutes, insisting the expired tags were “not a big deal” and that even if we were pulled over, “tickets easily get dismissed.” He refused to acknowledge that dismissals don’t erase public records and that customers should never be put in a position to deal with legal or court issues because a rental company failed to keep its vehicles compliant. He repeatedly said, “I would know, I’m the branch manager,” instead of taking responsibility.
What made the situation even more concerning is that despite initially saying they could not rent out the recalled vehicle, we were ultimately given that same recalled car anyway. That recalled car was extremely dirty and had trash, cherries, and parts of a biscuit in the console/cup holder.
From the hour-long delay, to not having the reserved vehicle, to being offered a recalled car, to nearly being sent out in a car with expired tags, and finally to having our legitimate safety concerns dismissed—the entire experience was unprofessional and unacceptable.
It didn’t end there. A week later, I learned they had never properly checked me out in the system, and their records showed they rented me a completely different car. Trey called me repeatedly while I was in a meeting to figure out what car I had actually taken. When I finally called back, I was placed on hold and forgotten about. I had to hang up and call again just to be acknowledged.
Customers should not have to verify whether a rental car is safe, legal, or even correctly assigned. I sincerely hope this location improves its communication, accountability, and respect for customers’ time and safety. We use Enterprise several times a year, but unfortunately, this experience made it clear that this will be our last.
