Long post…If I could leave zero stars I would. Doing business with this place is one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! My experience began with me being told they were the ONLY shop in Chattanooga who could rebuild my transmission, and do it for 2/3 of what anyone else would charge. Several phone calls in which I was told, “we are waiting on the parts,” and 5 weeks later found a re-manufactured tranny installed with extra repairs and a price tag 20% over what a brand new, dealership installed tranny would have cost me…at the dealership! I was notified to return two weeks later for a tranny checkup. A personal issue/emergency delayed my return at three weeks instead of two with the tranny acting up. After Hitech examined the tranny, they informed me a sensor was leaking and 1/2 tranny fluid had leaked from the tranny (this was a sensor which HiTech replaced at the time of the initial tranny repair). I paid to replace the sensor (again), 2x what it would have costs me elsewhere, and relayed that there was not a drop of fluid in my driveway where the car had been parked for about 10 days while we tended to the previously mentioned out of town issue. A couple weeks (yes…a couple weeks…these guys are not fast at all) later I get the car and it continues to act up. A trip to both another tranny mechanic and a dealership led to me being told the tranny is bad. I then dropped off the car at Hitech again, relaying my findings. 5-6 weeks later I spend an entire week trying to reach them only to have them tell me they have been trying to reach me the entire time, yet I had neither a missed call nor text message (this happened continually during my dealings with Hitech). After a brief and condescending synopsis of the situation from them, they informed me that I had breached my warranty by bringing the car to them at 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks and the fluid loss was my fault (remember…no fluid in driveway where car sat for over a week and HiTech installed the “faulty” part). As a result they voided and refused to honor the warranty, telling me, “we like to deal with customers who follow directions.” Stay away from this place! They stretch the truth, are incredibly condescending, will overcharge you, have no concept of good customer service, and will ARGUE with everything you say! I do not know how they stay in business and wish I had read posted reviews before I took the car to them as an unfavorable percentage of reviews are negative and are eerily similar to mine! Again, take your car anywhere but this place!

Recently had one of my customers cars taken to Hi-Tech Transmission. Customer stated that after she wrecked her car, a gentleman was able to drive it briefly before it wouldn’t go anywhere. Upon investigating, the transmission pan had been damaged and leaking fluid. I had the car towed to Hi-Tech and within a week had a possible diagnosis. Due to parts being delayed it took a little longer, but was updated with the delay. Once parts came in the vehicle was repaired and my customer became their customer and the vehicle was ready to hit the road. Communication between us was on point and thorough. I intended to continue doing business with Hi-Tech Transmission.

Whatever you do, Do not drop your car off here. Had my car two weeks I call dude uhhh uhhh ima get to it, I don’t know yet I’m out getting parts. Finally show up he has dates he talked to me but they are wrong I can pull my phones call log he is Arogant keeps saying we are the only one in town with finance options. It’s my transmission I wouldn’t have showed up if I didn’t have the money I know it’s going to be expensive. Charges me &250 to diagnose and tells me he has to pull my transmission to see what’s wrong that will be 850 then repair cost. He never did anything after two weeks I picked up my car paid the 260 with tax had to Venmo to avoid processing fee. Took my car to am I and the damn car low on fluid and needs a new drain plug $260 and Aamco has me back rolling

The photos online are wildly misleading… this place is nowhere near what it presents itself to be. There’s maybe one employee on site, and it’s definitely not the people featured on their website. Be very cautious if you’re told you need a new battery. Ours was mysteriously drained while in their care, followed immediately by a push to replace it. That didn’t sit right, and a second opinion confirmed it wasn’t necessary. Do your due diligence before bringing your car here. Between the questionable practices and an extremely unpleasant interaction with the owner, Jason, this is not a place we’ll ever return to.
