Worst car wash you could possibly go to. Wash destroys vehicles and they deny damage claims “due to age of vehicle” when it’s only a few years old. Employees are pathetic. Snapped my antenna off right at the base of the threads but can’t get bird poop off. This place needs shut down. You’d get a better clean using a rake and sledge hammer.

I am in the process of building a house, so my car is often very muddy. I joined Tommy's Express at the Pinnacle gor $25 a month and so thankful! I go through at least once a week (often more) especially to clean the under carriage of my car and the guys & a gal working there spray my rubber mats for me every time & do a great job! Seth helped me today, but kuddos to all that work there!

Good car wash that looks very high tech
Tommy's Express Car Wash started back in 1969 when the Essenburg family opened their first Quality Car Wash in Holland, Michigan. It has grown since then into a franchise that by late 2025, has over 260 spots worldwide. We have never been to this one and I found it fascinating and slightly different from the normal carwash I visit (Caliber Car wash). This location was right off the main road (State Street) just to the west of the interstate entrance. It had an easy to navigate layout for newcomers like me. We were new and drove straight up to the window to pay for a basic wash with an undercarriage rinse. It cost about $9. THe staff was very friendly and pleasant and talked me into the undercarriage rinse which I appreciated. Once you are paid you pull around to the entrance and drive onto a conveyor belt. It is nice because unlike other car washes there are screens at the beginning and end to tell you what to do. It looked very clean (it was a car wash) and very high tech. We did not take advantage of the free vacuums but they looked well maintained. If you're near Bristol, it's a very good place for a car wash.

Wow, lots of recent reviews of damage to people’s cars. The car wash ripped the rear wiper off my car. They said they couldn’t be held responsible because of the age of my car (2000 4Runner)..
I’m sure they will respond back with “ While we understand this outcome may be disappointing, we stand by our team’s assessment and decision.”.
Maybe it’s time to take a little responsibility to the damage that your car wash is doing to your customer’s cars.
Edit: Their response shows exactly how much they "take all claims seriously and conduct thorough reviews." They copy and paste their response. If they took the claim seriously, they would have changed it up a little. Their "thorough review" was some pierced up kid saying that he thought my car was too old and they wouldn't cover it. Then the adult in charge said that it was a bad design from Toyota.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience at this Tommy’s Car Wash deserves to be shared. My vehicle’s windshield was damaged while going through their automated wash. I reported it immediately and filed a complaint with them. Instead of working with me, they completely denied any responsibility without providing any real explanation or evidence.
I requested the camera footage from the time of the incident, which they have, but was told I could only receive it through a subpoena. Wow. For a business that claims to value customers, refusing to share basic proof and dismissing a legitimate concern is extremely disappointing. We've been members here for a lengthy time with no issue. The moment we do, they're totally unwilling to at least share or invite me to view the footage entering the wash.
Full & honest disclosure, it looks suspicious on me, as at the top of the crack, which is at the roof, there is a chip that the crack runs straight down. We do not recall seeing this previously and definitely not a crack until after the wash. However, because we truly believe something trapped in the top brush caused the issue, I wanted to see video of entering in the wash. The employee told me when filling out the report, "Tommy's won't take any responsibility. They never do. It's always a denial." That being said, Tommy's being so unwilling to share video proof of my windshield entering into the tunnel, is just poor and suspicious business.
I’ve used many automated car washes and have never had an issue until now. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and poor customer service at Tommy's means I won’t be returning, and I would caution others to be aware of how this location handles damage claims. Always and 100% denial. I'm sure their response will solely focus on the after affect, and avoid their denial record practice, and refusal to share data. That's fine. I've been honest in my review. I'm sure it will not reciprocate.
