I was told by the woman at the front desk the tire couldn't be patched because my tread was too low (it wasn't). This diagnosis was made with a glance and without seeing the position of the screw in the middle groove of the tire. I said let me back out a bit so you can see the screw. After backing out, the lady had walked off. When I got her attention again, she said 'Do you have a question?' — I found this incredibly rude. She again reiterated the 'low tread' and didn't properly inspect the tire. The bays were half empty and no other customers were present. It was obvious they were avoiding more work for the day. I drove to Firestone next door and was immediately greeted and helped even with a full parking lot and full bays. The guy inspected my tire and said they could patch it no problem. He said my tread wasn't low enough to be an issue. All-in-all it was a minor inconvenience, but I'll never go back to NTB.
