Update on Jan 23:
I visited Enterprise office yesterday afternoon. The staff there was friendly, which made me feel a lot better. I also visited the Issuer. So here's the thing. SGI just cover 2 days of fee for me, I believe which is a reasonable coverage for a windshield replacement in their mind. According to Enterprise, they need to request the one-day extension to SGI. But I believe there was something went wrong, they processed the extension submission (maybe again) when I was there. They promised that after they get reimbursement, they'll refund the money to me. Even though the money has been posted, they can still do that. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. How they coordinate among themselves is their business and shouldn’t cause me any trouble. Moreover, hanging up on my call like that is extremely rude. If I don’t visit their office to follow up on this, will they resubmit the extension for me, or will they just close my order and make me bear the $50 loss?
If you rent a car out of pocket, you probably won’t run into these problems. It’s still a company worth considering. However, if you go through SGI insurance and the collision centre, I would advise you to think carefully. If a similar situation happens next time, I will have my family or friends give me a ride instead of renting a car, to avoid unnecessary hassle.
Jan 22:
If I could give 0 star, I would. Their customer service sucks! I found that I was charged extra $50.60 after the rental, and I was wondering what that was for. So I gave them a call. Then after they listened to my concern, they cut the line immediately without saying one word. I tried to call back afterwards, but my phone was never picked up. I now have figured that SGI didn't cover all the fee for me. But that's another story that can't I blame them for. I dropped off my car at Taylor Autobody for a windshied replacement. The time of replacing is normally 1 day according to Taylor Autoboy's website. I dropped my car there on 12 Jan at 8:17am, and I made a call to them asking whether my car was ready on 13 Jan at 2pm. The staff at Taylor Autoboy told me that they'd finished the calibrition and would call me when the car was ready within that day. But I didn't received their call that day. At 8:55am of 14 Jan, I received Taylor Autobody's text message saying I can go to pick up my car. I went to pick up my car in the afternoon. So I think I have to pay the car rental fee of 3 days. But SGI somehow just covered fee of 2 days for me. I mean even if I could go to pick up my car right away after I received the message, it would be still counted as 3 days of rental, wouldn't it. I can't help thinking if Enterprise has some secret tricks with collision centres to delay the repairing time to make people pay more, which they can benefit from. I would rather believe this is not true. And I suggest not renting a car if you've got someone to pick and drop you during car repairing despite you have the Auto Pak from SGI. Anyway, I got really mad at how I was treated by their customer service. If you don't want to treated in this rude manner, stay away from this company.
