My Toyota Sequoia had a factory recall for the paint of the car. Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston sent us to Joe Hudson Collision Center for the warranty work to be completed. September of 2025, my car went in for a full body repaint job- which took just about a month to complete. The new paint looked great. The bumper doesn’t match the car- that apparently Toyota did not cover the repainting of the bumpers in the recall… so now I have a 2 tone car… that I didn’t buy! (As a business owner- if I had the entire car pulled apart- as a professional courtesy- I would have thought they would have just gone ahead and painted those at the same time… makes sense since they expressively told me Toyota was paying over 24,000$ to repaint my car!! Seriously… wouldn’t you just complete the whole thing???) But… here we are. My car had fender flares around all 4 tires that were not painted and replaced on the car. I was told most owners didn’t mind that they were not reinstalled… I did! I wanted my car back in the same shape that I dropped it off in- with new paint! Fought and fought again with Toyota and the shop to have those painted to match and reinstalled. This has been completed now- (in late January) and that is fine. Here’s where the continued problems come in… THINGS KEEP FALLING APART ON MY CAR!! Never had a problem for the first 96,000 miles on it… now- the side step running board had a bolt missing and started falling off and making this horrible noise anytime anyone used it to get into the car… go back to Toyota- they replaced the bolt. The windows- all have overspray on them… including permanent scratches on the windows from where they sanded the door when doing the repaint job. The back now has a leak!!! They ripped the rubber when reinstalling things, so as we went through the car wash today- water is pouring in the back door. Not to mention too - the window rubber piece completely came off in the wash too! (See pictures!) I’m over it. Had Fred Anderson told me I could have taken it to a certified Toyota repair shop in Georgia- I WOULD HAVE MADE THE DRIVE!! I wouldn’t have stuff falling off my car and constantly wondering when the next disaster or problem is going to happen due to Painters not being mechanics that can reinstall things properly! Highly recommend you do your research before just going with whoever the dealership recommends… go with a certified dealership body shop. Save yourself so many headaches and heartaches!!! 10 out of 10- would not recommend.

Great place to work with! Totally pleased with the job that was done. Shop stayed in communication with us during the repairs. Hopefully we won’t need a body shop again, but if we do we will be back here.
