I ordered a few parts using the Advanced Auto on line system fully expecting it to be a disaster, because that’s the usual experience I have with retail these days. I was very and happily surprised. My parts were waiting for me when I got to the shop. The staff was very pleasant, they actually acknowledged me as a customer and got my items promptly and as an added bonus they were the exact things I ordered! I’m very happy with this business and they will be go to place for any future automotive parts needs in the future.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
