I went to return a battery I had bought the day before at another Auto Parts branch, but he refused to accept it. I went there because I was working nearby, and the branch where I bought it was far away. But I had the misfortune of encountering this racist man. In the end, I had to go back to the store where I bought it, and I mentioned it to the young man who worked there, who was very polite, by the way. He confirmed that he could have easily accepted the battery, and he didn't understand why the other man refused to do his job, which is a very common practice between branches of the same company. They should be more polite to all customers without exception. Thank you.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
