Then the guy says I can borrow the battery cart and tools and install it myself. Seems like if it is a such a safety issue that they wouldn’t willingly let customers take the risk with their tools? Talked to their chat agent and they said there is no such policy to not install batteries in the rain. This interaction alone shows that they are willing to lie, cut corners, and just down right be lazy. I went across the street to O’Reillys and it was done in 5 mins no issues. I will never come back to this location for anything.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
