I purchased an awesome Jeep from the Lake Keowee Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Dealership in Seneca, South Carolina over this past weekend. The name of the salesperson with whom I chose to work is Daniel Guerrero. He is the nicest young man! Throughout the entire process, which started early last week, he was nothing but nice, kind, helpful, and professional. It wasn’t just about buying a Jeep. I felt like we got to know each other on a personal level, and it was quite different and refreshing from any of my past car-buying experiences. He never pressured or pushed me in any way to buy a vehicle, but rather he was extremely patient in trying to understand exactly the type of vehicle that I was interested in buying, and then assisted me in reviewing the available selection at this dealership and finally selecting the Jeep that was right for me. I looked at other dealerships throughout Georgia where I live, but I went back to this dealership because Daniel was there, and I wanted to buy my new vehicle from him. I love my new Jeep as it is exactly what I was looking for, but the pleasant disposition of this young man throughout the car-buying process really made the experience enjoyable!

As a college student, I really appreciate great service, and Lake Keowee Dodge went above and beyond! Luke was super helpful, professional, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. They rotated my tires, gave me a free oil change, and even a free car wash — all at no cost. Everyone there was friendly and genuinely cared about helping me out. I am not sure where to start with the dishonesty and manipulation that occurred when my daughter brought her 2018 Jeep Cherokee to the service department at Lake Keowee Dodge Jeep Ram. She came in with two problems that we knew needed to be addressed. The service department proceeded to identify other unnecessary services that added significant incremental cost. They agreed to email the information with details of what needed to be fixed. It took several calls to make that happen and they ultimately never provided a clear explanation. When I called to ensure I understood their recommendations, they rushed me off the phone with promises that they would follow-up with more information by email. They went so far as to advocate replacing brake pads that still had ample life left in them as well as an unnecessary oil change to the tune of $160. Not to mention, their prices were significantly higher than other auto service providers in the area. When I called to tell them we would not need their services, they slapped me with a $170 diagnostic fee that they said told my daughter about when she brought the car in…which they did not as she certainly would have asked permission prior to agreeing to that. I have since heard from two other people that they had similar experiences with this service department. Only after I told them I would not proceed with the service did they send photos. I took the car to another reputable service center where they completed only what was necessary and did it for fraction of the cost. When I asked the other mechanic if I would need to pay them for any sort of diagnostic fee at the outset, they laughed and said “you only pay us if we do work on your car.”
Lake Keowee saw a worthwhile target in my college-aged daughter and her non-local parents. I highly suggest you avoid doing business here unless you want to be fleeced. They are completely dishonest. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. It’s places like this that give mechanics a bad reputation.
** My addendum - I don't appreciate when business owners gas light customers just because they receive a poor review and don't like what they are hearing (see below response). No business wants to receive a bad review. The bottom line is you listen to a customer's feedback and then you hopefully take it into consideration in future customer interactions.

My husband and I recently took our car in for repairs. 3400 dollars. Kept longer than promised. To get updates I had to keep calling only to be told after diagnostic and spending that money which we didn't have. (My husband has been battling heart attack and his cancer has come back and it was very hard to come up with the money) that they could not fix an issue they did not tell us about until after they had our money. They could have easily said that they couldn't do it before putting out that money. Then my mother(always looking out for me) called to complain. They told her that the oil hadn't been changed. Changed less than 2 weeks before we had the work done. Changed every 4 to 5000 miles as was rlsuggested to us. Told her we could trade in and use the car and money paid in for trade in. Nope. Nothing about using the money.Only said they suggested a trade in and if we left with car no trade in unless it was fixed. That's why we brought it in in the 1st place. To be fixed. We both feel like we were taken advantage of. I missed 2 days of work waiting on the car. The car is still doing what it was when we took it in.after 3400 worth. The men were courteous but really feel like we were taken advantage of. If they were unable to work on and fix the issue it should have been made clear before that money was put out.
I understand they have put several new parts on(if they actually did) they could have subtracted the cost of the parts and returned the balance since they didn't correct the problem. 2 days missed work and pay as well as the 3400 dollars.. our car is even worse now than before they worked on it. They should have just told us they probably couldn't fix it. Then we could have paid the diagnostic fee and took it to another shop. It was very hard to come up with that money only to be left in worse shape than we started out in
We had "work" done here on our car $3400. Was assured after diagnostic that the issues were found and would be fixed in less than a days time after pys came in. Took longer. Missed work. And then told they couldn't fix it. After they have our money. They could have told us we may be able to fix it but no guarantees before taking our money. They could have refunded labor cost . Car is in worse shape now than before they"worked" on it. Have tried to contact 3 times for a resolution. A partial refund since they were not honest about being able to fix it and for the extended time frame. I will keep making posts. Putting up reviews. . Check BBB website. I should have! This is not a reliable place.

Agreed to pricing on a 2024 truck and made the 1.5 hour drive to go purchase. Once I arrived, my salesman stated “They did tell you this was a smokers special right?” I laughed because I thought he was joking and also thought that was a strange way to open a conversation. When they took me to see the truck, it reeked of cigarette smoke. The worst I’ve ever smelled in a vehicle. The salesman claimed a different salesman sent me a video stating the truck had smoke spell. Incorrect. To have business conducted in that way was extremely disappointing and it’s hard to believe that it was only a miscommunication error. The first star is for the experience, the second star is for the salesman's apology. I ended up purchasing a similar truck elsewhere.
