    We just set up camp with our travel trailer when we realized we didn't have the correct dog bone. They were just a half an hour from us. We needed a 30amp male to a 50amp female and we also needed to get our propane tank filled. They were promptly able to assist us with both.

    We had the absolute worst experience with this place. We purchased a brand new 2026 Forest River Campsite Elite back in Nov 2025. The delivery process was horrible we were told a time and the delivery was made 5 hours later than scheduled. Then we started having problems and when we called for service we were told the soonest they could have a tech out would be 3wks mind you this was about having no hot water! Then the a/c had issue, a leak in washing machine ( which the tech came out to “fix” weeks later and he said nothing was wrong. Later they found water damage from the leak! There was the straw that broke the camels back when the refrigerator stopped working. After calling and fighting about them not a tech available and were told we were having to wait almost a month for a tech to be able to come out we called corporate office and they got someone out within days and they discovered the power cord of the fridge had melted because it hadn’t been installed properly! Thank GOD there wasn’t a fire! We decided to get out of this rv and sold it back. We were treated like we were not supposed to have an issue with the fact that this happened to us! We got basically robbed with what they paid us back for the rv and they never even gave us the respect to acknowledge that this was a horrible rv and it clearly wasn’t made well. One of the tech told us it’s a new model and basically we were the Guinea pigs for this rv! So we lost over 20k and Camping World made out with screwing us over twice! Worst experience ever!! Worst customer service! Worst management as no one has ever even tried to reach out to express their support or assistance! They basically took our money and gave zero attention to the issue.

    If you are planning to go to Ridgeland South Carolina for camping world and you’re in an RV towing a car do not do it! There are no directions when you get there which way to turn. Turned right towards the front of the store. They have a gate there that you can turn around in, but it was shut. When we went inside, they told us somebody would unlock it for us.. Well, when we left, nobody would unlock it so we had to unhook the car put it back in gear turn everything around meanwhile cars are coming in and out. They were not helpful at all. We will never go back there again.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service – Austin Thompson Deserves Recognition My experience purchasing a brand-new RV from Camping World in Ridgeland, SC was outstanding, and the main reason was Austin Thompson. Buying an RV is a big investment, and Austin made the entire process smooth, professional, and enjoyable from beginning to end. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and transparent throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain every detail, answer all of our questions, and make sure we were completely comfortable with our purchase. What impressed me the most was his professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction. At no point did we feel pressured. Instead, Austin focused on helping us find the perfect RV for our needs and made sure we understood everything before making the final decision. Customer service at this level is rare today. Austin represents Camping World with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for his customers. Employees like him are the reason people return and recommend businesses to others. Camping World management should be proud to have someone like Austin on their team. He truly deserves recognition for the level of service he provides.     Sales Department Review Only - Recommend Avoiding. Things like this are why people don’t trust the Camping World Brand Spoke with multiple people at the dealer. While negotiating price, dealer added a ~$2500 “go camping fee”. When asked what it was, was told initially it was for camping supplies and dealer walkthrough. When I asked more, employee said it was to cover the dealer prep (cleaning, and any repairs, battery and propane tanks). I if the fee was required, rep said Camping World mandates it. I called Camping Worlds cooperate office who was unsure if it was policy. The passed me along to their regional leadership why never called, but instead passed the issue to the dealership. Rep from dealership called and informed me that it was not required but could not answer for why the sales team insisted it was. He also stated that not paying the fee makes this a “Wholesale like unit” so it’s been check but doesn’t get the inspection like it would with the “go camping” package. First place I have seen that makes you pay a fee for an inspection of a unit they are selling. While I don’t assume all Camping World locations try to force optional fees on people and don’t do a full inspection when they take on units, this location clearly does, and it takes their HQ getting involved before they are truthful.
