    I was just looking up the store hours for this week with the holiday coming up, and I noticed a few negative reviews. I wanted to share my own honest experience in case it helps provide a fuller picture. I’m fairly new to the area within the last year, and this has become the location I go to routinely because I’ve trusted the management and the team here. This is based off of a handful of personal experiences, just to be transparent. As I had a few other opinions given to me from two local mechanics in the Carolina Forest area and when I went to Advance Auto for the part I needed, they went into depth of why it could possibly be a misdiagnosis and they were actually correct, which saved me so much more hassle in the long run! They didn’t narrow down on the fact that I was ignorant, they made sure to make an honest sale and since that moment, I made sure to keep my loyalty with theirs! It’s actually a little out of my way, but I already made the effort to go to that area since the Dirty Myrtle Mechanics are even worse! I’m not someone who posts complaints unless management completely ignores an issue, so I’m usually pretty skeptical of new stores. I’ve been a frequent loyalty member upon several states I’ve lived in and I’ve seen first hand how different the atmosphere can be from state to state. This is why I want to emphasize that this store has consistently been helpful, respectful, and patient every time I’ve visited. I’ve noticed that even if people leave complaints over very small things, this team still manages to stay professional and handle every situation with care to fix it. On busy days, I’ve waited in line while they assisted others, and it’s obvious they take their time to make sure each customer gets what they need. One moment that really stood out to me was the snow day in January 2025, when I was waiting for my dad in the parking lot and I watched the guys handle everything in a timely matter while also making it priority to keep every customer safe from the moment they entered the property to the moment they left, especially with the slippery conditions. They shoveled the sidewalks and parking lot when customers were walking and always made sure they had no risk of falling. The service here consistently goes above and beyond, and I’ll continue recommending this location with full confidence. Sorry for the long review, but this team is genuinely worth recognizing, especially the manager. I think his name is Cameron? I hope anyone reading this remembers that positive experiences like mine absolutely exist and can outweigh the occasional negative one based on an off moment. Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll plan to be there the day after, as I was originally here to verify temp business hours due to the holiday! 🦃

    I frequent your store on 501 in Carolina forest because I’ve always had great service there in the past, but this last visit was the complete opposite. I purchased a battery and when I asked Alex if he would install it, he huffed but said yes, clearly not wanting to. We went outside and that’s when things took a turn for the worst. What should’ve been a quick installation turned into a painful 20 minute disaster as he struggled to figure out what he was doing. He huffed and complained throughout the process and used some pretty colorful language, including several F-bombs because he couldn’t get the terminal to tighten (the ratchet was in reverse, fyi). He blamed it on the felt terminal protectors saying they were preventing him from being able to get the terminals tight. After reaching my limit, I took over the install and finished it myself. The manager, Cameron, came out to check on Alex (I’m assuming because of how long he was out there) and when he saw me installing the battery myself, offered to take over and complete the install. Annoyed, I declined and asked for a refund on the felt protectors since “they were the problem” Cameron gave me a refund, apologized for the poor service, and I left. Like I said, service is usually top notch at this location. Cameron and his crew have always taken good care of me in the past but this employee is going to cost you a customer.
