- DMDavid “Chico” MoralesJan 15, 20262.0Advance Auto Parts in Lugoff: My Two-Star Review I visited the Advance Auto Parts in Lugoff for a free battery check, as they advertised on their window. It was a pretty frustrating experience from the start. When I walked in, I actually thought the store was empty, so I said “Good morning! Hello!” out loud a few times. No response. Eventually, I found the staff sitting in chairs towards the back. Even when I greeted them again, they didn’t look up or acknowledge me. They definitely heard me, but just chose not to respond at first. When one of them finally got up and came over, he had an attitude and was dismissive, telling me I’d have to wait 10 or 20 minutes because someone else was on a break. It was only after I took a picture of their sign that his attitude shifted and he actually helped me out and tested my battery. In the end, I’m giving them two stars. They did perform the battery check, but the lack of basic courtesy and the dismissive attitude really made for a poor customer service experience.

Standing in line at the register for about 5 minutes, next in line, and what do they do, they take a person behind me at a different register instead of calling me over there and saying Sir you're next. It's not rocket science to have good customer .service.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
