    I would like to give a 0 but its not an option. I came in to get a set of front break pads on a 2000 toyota avalon. The store manager helping me seemed to be slightly interested in another customer while looking up break pads. I got home and have a product not compatible with my vehical. Now I have to put the car back together to go get an exchange. And if the question comes up he sold me the rear pads.... nope these are not them. 100% missed the customer needs.

    I stopped into this Advance auto Saturday to get a new battery. Miss Lilly met me at the service desk to assist me. Miss Lilly was pleasant and good natured. I wanted to make sure it was indeed a battery that needed replacing so I asked for a battery/alternator/starter motor test. She promptly grabbed the test equipment and tested all three. She determined the battery had a bad cell and looked up the battery I needed for my wife’s 2017 Sonata 2.4L engine. Wow, the cost of batteries these days is insane! Anyway, I asked Miss Lilly if Advance still installs the battery for free and she replied yes but thought she couldn’t replace mine because the air filter intake line wrapped over the top of the battery. Knowing the cost of FREE BATTERY INSTALLATION is built into the cost of the battery, I questioned her decision to sell me the battery and charge me a “core” charge so I could change it myself. Fortunately she asked a more seasoned associate their advice and determined the air filter intake could easily be removed, which he did for her. It took 10-15 minutes for Lilly to change the battery. While changing the battery I asked about her experience and discovered she had only worked there for 4 months or so. I chalked up her original division not to change the battery to inexperience but give her credit for asking for help. The 3 plastic push rivets were broken when removing the air filter intake so I went inside to look for replacements which I was willing to pay for. Unfortunately Advance doesn’t stock them. When I went to the car the hood was up, the battery installed, but the air intake was laying on top of the engine, which I put in place and pushed in the plastic push rivets to secure it. Had it not been for these inconveniences I would have given this location 5 stars. Miss Lilly is a good associate and still learning. I wish her all the best.

    Part was acceptable though the packaging was in poor care and sorry discretion. Praying for them to be able to get it together. Did have to visit the next day to get the filter and this was the condition of the acquisitioned filter from another store. Picked up the 6 quarts of oil for my 3.5 HO Mopar yesterday.
