    I called the Advance Auto Parts store at 7537 St. Andrews Rd. in Irmo today regarding a failed battery and spoke with Crystal, who identified herself as the Commercial Manager. Unfortunately, she was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. I was given incorrect information, and when I questioned it, she changed her explanation and denied what she had said earlier. For clarity, she stated that batteries purchased online cannot be exchanged in-store and must be sent to corporate for processing, with any refund issued later to the original form of payment. This policy was not communicated clearly at the start of the call and contributed to confusion during an already stressful situation. After a tense exchange, she abruptly ended the call with a sarcastic “Have a blessed day,” which felt unprofessional and disrespectful. The information Crystal provided forced me to purchase a new battery because I needed my car right away and could not wait for a refund from corporate. But that battery was damaged by the DoorDash driver when he left it on its side, causing acid to leak out. I had to return it to this store, and James processed it as “defective” because the system wouldn’t let him access the order and enter it as “damaged.” Ultimately, I received a replacement for the damaged battery, but I still have to return the defective one. It’s been quite a frustrating and time-consuming ordeal. Over the years, I’ve had positive experiences with employees at other Advance Auto Parts locations, who were knowledgeable and courteous. My interaction with Crystal was the complete opposite. I will be contacting corporate, as customer-facing staff should treat people respectfully. Because of this experience, I’m likely to take my business elsewhere in the future. I hear O'Reilly's has great products and excellent customer service.

    I locked myself out of my van, and I needed a slim jim. I gave these guys a call and Zach and his team had me squared away so fast I didn’t miss an appointment. John delivered the tool took the cash and I brought it back. they gave me my exact cash back. Talk about a favor, And they don’t even know me. I love these guys.
