The car required a front bumper and grille replacement, as well as the trunk and rear bumper. After three weeks, I went to pick up the vehicle and immediately noticed multiple issues. The paint on both sides of the rear windshield was rough and bumpy. When I asked about it, I was told there was a “recall” on our paint and that taping caused the original paint to peel off. This was never disclosed beforehand, and it’s worth noting they were not going to mention it at all unless I brought it up myself. Additionally, the trunk was misaligned, and the taillight on the trunk lid did not line up with the taillight on the fender. To make matters worse, they installed an aftermarket front bumper that did not fit properly and was not flush with the front fender panels. The fact that they considered this acceptable enough for me to pick up my car was honestly insulting. After escalating the issues and involving the insurance company, they agreed to “fix” the problems and kept the car another week. When I returned, I was told the peeled paint was repaired as a “courtesy” — even though they caused the damage. The repair was awful. The paint color does not match, the surface is still not smooth, and they managed to peel even more paint off my car, which again was not disclosed. I only found it because I thoroughly inspected the vehicle. Throughout this entire process, I felt like they were hoping issues would go unnoticed rather than being honest or proactive. I should not have to act as a quality control inspector to ensure basic repair standards are met. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty, integrity, and workmanship from this company. Based on my experience, I absolutely do not recommend Joe Hudson’s Collision Center to anyone.
