  I went to KEVIN WHITAKER on Laurens Rd in Greenville SC this morning on April 4, 2026 at 830a for my oil change appointment. After checking and them taking my truck around back, the service lady comes to me about 30 minutes later and advised me that they would not be able to complete my oil change because I had a helicore placed in my oil pan, at which I didn't know what that was until she explained it to me. She said that it was threads placed inside of my trucks oil pan for the plug pin because it had been stripped on the inside of the oil pan. When I retured home with my truck, it was now leaking oil, so I called the service department at Kevin Whitaker and spoke with the same service lady and I advised her that my truck was now leaking oil and she said that the service tech guy didn't touch my truck, she said he looked at and said that it had a helicore placed in my oil pan, so he didn't touch it. I was told by GOOD YEAR you must remove the oil plug in order to find out that the helicore is stripped, unless your Superman and have X-ray vision. Now KEVIN WHITAKER service manager is saying that are not responsible, but my truck wasn't leaking oil before I got there and was never leaking oil until I took it to them to get an oil change this morning. The service manager also stated that he would give me an estimate on a new oil pan, but would not fixed the problem that they caused. Now I'm not able to drive my truck to pick up my 84 year mother from Virginia for Easter. I need them to take accountability for their action because someone in there shop removed my oil plug and discovered that I had a helicore when they removed my oil plug and caused damage to my truck oil pan and because of that I now have an oil leak and now I'm unable to pick up my mother for Easter. I do know someone is lying because the service lady said the tech guy didn't touch my truck, but the service manager said when the tech noticed the oil pan was stripped he placed the oil plug back in.

  I will not return to this place for nothing. I had a 9am appointment for a full service which I showed up to early. It normally only takes roughly an hour for. But I sat there for 4 hours and no one had checked on me or gave me any updates. I went to the counter to be told it was going to be ready around 4pm. At that point I had someone come pick me up. After 4pm I still hadn’t been called or told anything so I decided to call to check on my truck and they said it would be ready around 5pm. I got back to the dealership at 5:12pm and they still wasn’t done and didn’t even have any paperwork or my keys ready.

  The Service department is very friendly. Their technology and communication is very effective with text messaging and emails. The app is easily accessible on my phone to schedule service. The salesman here genuinely want to give you the best deal on a new or used vehicle. John Marcus is the sales person that I have dealt with and he is genuinely a wonderful person. I can’t say enough about the way I am treated every time I’m here. Right now I’m trading a vehicle that had a recall on the engine 6.2 L engine. Jon put me in a new truck and worked the numbers to make this an easy transaction. The service department was kind enough to remove the bed cover on my old truck and install it on the new truck for me at no charge. That is excellent customer service folks. Keven Whitaker Chevrolet is the largest selling dealership in the Southeast. Their tract record speaks volumes. If you’re looking for that next economy car or your dream sports car or truck I recommend Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet hands down!

  Great experience they stayed late for us to close the deal. So we wouldn’t have to make the return trip. Charley is a great Christian man . No pressure sales . We drove up to look at another vehicle at another local dealer. My husband had all he could take of them in a few minutes. We left and he said hey drive by Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet I know a guy i bought a camper shell off marketplace works there so let’s just ride by an see if they have anything we like boy are we glad we did . Not new but had only 2000 miles.

  We had such an amazing experience with Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kevin Whitaker and his team went above and beyond to help me and my husband, and we truly felt taken care of every step of the way. They were patient, understanding, and made the whole process so much easier than we expected. We had a few extra things going on, but they worked with us and made everything come together smoothly. Because of how great they were, we actually ended up getting two vehicles from them! That alone says a lot about the trust and comfort they gave us.
