- JHJoshua HartOct 29, 20251.0Do not go with SafeLite! Heed everyone’s warnings. I originally scheduled a repair because I thought I had 3 small rock chips in my windshield. When the technician arrived, he noted a 4th chip which exceeded their allowable repair. He said I would have to reschedule for a replacement instead. Not a huge issue, just an inconvenience especially with having to retint. I asked if it would be an OEM replacement and he said no, I would have to pay extra for OEM. I asked the difference and was told the only difference would be the small (less than 2”) Ford logo on the very bottom and the QR code next to it. Everything else would be identical. I SPECIFICALLY asked if the FORD logo would still be present in the tinted portion above the rear view mirror and was assured it would be. When the 2nd appointment came, the new aftermarket windshield did not have the FORD logo at the top as I was assured it would. Since I had already scheduled twice now, and had a retint scheduled for later in the week, I begrudgingly accepted the aftermarket windshield instead of having to reschedule everything a 3rd time. After installation, noticed a couple small scratches around the windshield that wasn’t there previously. Also, the wiper cowl was warped from being placed, bent, in direct sunlight on the black hood of the technicians van during installation. I am not happy at all with the service. I will not use them again. Heed the warnings unlike me.

Wasted all day to get a cheap windshield that did not fit , waited another week and headed there to be told they didn't have the correct one, turned to go back home only to be called back - they had found it.
