I came in with a tire blowout and damage to the wheel/rims. I had to leave the next day to go back home. David ordered parts and got everything done promptly! This is after I went to 4 other shops. I am so glad that I found this shop. A.U.

Was altogether a great experience that could have only been possible with the honest, professional, and kind staff here at Auto Repair Experts. Came in with a potential exhaust issue, they said they have complimentary pre inspections so it seemed like a good start. They listened to the information I had and what I was looking to get more information on. They did the inspection and noted no issues but requested to keep the car to inspect again during a cold start (for context, that is when I noticed the issue predominantly). I couldn’t leave the car but one of their mechanics and service manager spoke with me about potential causes and what to look for. A very refreshing experience if you’ve ever been to other mechanic shops. Even though I didn’t have any further services done to the car, based on my experience with the honest, professional, and approachable staff I would bring my car back here for other services! I do recommend! Two other quick notes: 1. The waiting area is nice, clean, and well stocked. 2. Their signature is leaving a little stuffed animal in your car after service. Very personal touch!

Tried to post the actual (long version) but Google wouldn't allow it due to the length I guess. I did post it on their FB page if you want to see the whole story. Here is the condensed version: I have given this much thought before posting but ultimately decided that people should know about my experience with Auto Repair Experts in Goose Creek SC: Took my 2012 vehicle to Auto Repair on 11/15/25 after feeling a shifting issue that day. Had the radiator and transmission condenser replaced by a different shop recently so I figured it was low on transmission fluid but couldn't check it myself because of it being a "sealed" system. I explained everything to the Service Manager David. He said they would do a complimentary inspection and let me know the findings. That afternoon, David called me back and said that the complimentary visual inspection didn't find any codes (I already knew that because I have a code reader, but figured his equipment must be better than mine and might show something mine didn't) but that for $239 I could get a more in-depth diagnostic. I agreed to that. The next day when I received the call from David he informed me that the transmission fluid level was fine, but that the technician found metal shavings on the dipstick meaning there was already "catastrophic" damage to the transmission and would require replacement at a cost of $7001.52 and would I like him to get the transmission ordered!! I said absolutely not; the car is a 2012 that isn't even worth $7k. When I went to pick up my vehicle, David asked what I was going to do. I told him I was going to get a 2nd opinion since the issue happened only 1 time after the replacement of the other parts and that I didn't believe I did "catastrophic" damage in literally 1 hour. He then proceeded to give me the other results of the in-depth diagnostic which totaled $14k!!! He proceeded to tell me that the transmission wouldn't have given any indication that there was trouble "they just are fine one day and completely shot the next". Sounded fishy to me. He also said my suspension was very dangerous and needed to be replaced ($2500). I paid the $239 that agreed to pay, and David asked where was I going to take it for a second opinion and I told him I wasn't sure yet. He so graciously (please read with the intended sarcasm) offered to call wherever I decided to take it so he could talk to them for me. I told him that wouldn't be necessary. He was sure to tell me that if I took it to somewhere else, they might tell me that they could fix it, but it couldn't be fixed and I would just end up back to him needing it replaced. I did ask around to some other people and was referred to someone who works on everything from classics to diesels and had a conversation with him about what was happening. He said it sounded like it was low on transmission fluid, but he would be glad to look at it. He did, added 3 qts of transmission fluid, and my vehicle has been running great ever since. He also did a full inspection on my vehicle and stated what great shape it is in for the year and that he couldn't believe how smooth it rides (suspension system has no issues). He said he would recommend replacing the valve cover gasket with the next oil change to keep it in the best shape and to avoid any leaks since it appears to the be the original valve cover gasket. Other than that, my vehicle is in great shape! I don't know if they have changed ownership or management since my husband got his transmission replaced at Auto Repair Experts, but I can guarantee we will never take one of our vehicles back there again. From the get-go, this man David had no intention to repair my car if he couldn't sell me a new transmission and I believe that in my soul! I would give 0 stars if I could.
