  Waited an hour . 100 $ for a simple oil change . Dullards work here. Go somewhere else and save the aggravation.

  My son took one of our vehicles for an oil change and unfortunately stopped at Valvoline instead of our usual shop. He was not told the price beforehand, and the employee didn’t disclose the charges until everything was already done. She had the screen turned toward the hood and was laughing and talking with others about needing to go to Walmart (it was Black Friday, so I get it), but my son was never shown the pricing. Had he known, he absolutely would not have gone through with it because he knows what we normally pay. When he told me the total—nearly 3× our usual cost—I went back to speak with the manager. She was extremely dismissive, talked over me repeatedly, and insisted she “knew” the employee showed him the charges because “she always does.” Maybe she normally does, but she didn’t this time. My son even got out of the car and walked up so he could confirm exactly what happened. While I walked up, the manager, Ariela, was already talking about me/our conversation to the staff. I told them I was right there, and she still kept talking over me. My son clearly stated, “She didn’t show me,” and reminded the tech that she had the screen pointed toward the hood while chatting with others. The tech didn’t deny it—and even questioned why the bill was so high because she thought a coupon had been applied. (It hadn’t.) Instead of acknowledging a mistake, the manager kept pushing a male employee to “go downstairs,” which felt like she was trying to end the conversation rather than address the issue. There was zero accountability and no attempt to make it right. This is a small town, and this is not how you treat customers. My son now knows to never go back, and I want friends and family to be aware as well. If you choose to go there, make sure you get the pricing before anything is done so you’re not blindsided like we were. $170 for a basic 4-cylinder oil change—when we normally pay a third of that at Baxley’s—was quite the shock.
