Last night the store hosted a trunk or treat with classic automobiles and unique automobiles from the area. Literally hundreds of kids and families showed up to the event. Seeing what the store does not only in terms of supplying great auto parts, but the many things they do to help the community is just wonderful! This is absolutely my go to store for all of my auto parts! I have been restoring an old Porsche 924 as well as an old Chevy C10 suburban. Brian and Mark have been fantastic at helping me find all of the parts I need! Thank you guys for all you do!! Joe

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
