  Unfortunately, this was the worst rental experience I have had with National. The vehicle I was given was unacceptable in multiple ways. The exterior was visibly dirty, and the interior had not been properly cleaned. The windshield was so dirty it significantly impacted visibility while driving, which is a safety concern. There was also noticeable damage on the right-hand side of the vehicle that had not been addressed or clearly communicated. In addition, the car had a strong odor of both cigarette smoke and marijuana, making it very unpleasant to drive. I was traveling with another renter, and their vehicle was in similarly poor condition—it still contained trash, had not been washed, and emitted a foul odor when the air conditioning was turned on. This level of cleanliness and maintenance falls far below what I expect from National, especially given your reputation and the premium typically associated with your brand. I would appreciate this being looked into, as well as a follow-up regarding how this situation will be addressed. This experience did not meet even basic standards, and I hope there are steps taken to ensure it does not happen again especially for corporate executive account holders.
