- BDBishop Q Davis3 days ago4.0I’m always cautious of going to Jiffy Lube because of the stories I’ve heard about incidents that have happened to people’s cars. But who can refuse using a gift card sent in the mail. However I’m very watchful when I do take a vehicle of mines there, I stay in the car to watch what’s happening. This day I took my van the service was ok they asked a lot of questions trying to up sale me. One thing I didn’t like was I assume the manage was correcting an employee nearly 10 feet away from me I was in the car. He called him a liar because a customer said he didn’t ask him about a certain service. I believe correction should take place in the office or not in front of customers. They told me about a transmission leak and suggested a service however the service would only remove and put back fluid not the leak and it was high. As the day went on I smelled burning oil which worried me a little. There was this one young red hair men that was very nice. He reached to shake my hand I returned however I felt the oil and or dirt from him working on my car.

I was offered high mileage oil, with no mention of an upcharge with an exception for ONE of the two options for high mileage oil. Upon completion, I was never once told how much I was being charged until AFTER they charged my card. I also had a gift card and a coupon, which are two separate things with no specifications that they cannot be combined. The tech cashing me out took them both and my card, went inside. I wasn’t told until after they charged my card that they could not combine the gift card and coupon. Upon reviewing my receipt, they charged me $25 extra for the high mileage oil, which they never informed me of, but also gave me a $10 discount for having high mileage on my car. That made 0 sense and the staff was extremely rude when I called to figure this out. Will never return, better off going to Valvoline. (P.S. don’t even know what brand oil they put into my car…)
