- AJAlicia JacksonNov 11, 20251.0NEVER TRUST Advance Auto Parts across from Harbor Freight!!!!!! I just spoke to the Manager who is a LIAR... They sold me the wrong Coolant this morning and now I need a coolant flush and he cannot accept responsibility for his employee's actions. I was just going to ask them to pay for the additional CORRECT Coolant but now I am going to lodge a complaint with that location with their District Manager Nick. I called a different location and they verified the only coolant coming up for a 2011 VW Tiguan is PEAK European. Wow. Just Wow. It's so true how some men stay Peter Pans their entire life!!!!!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
