Came in yesterday to pick up an online order and the guy behind the counter just stared at me until I spoke first as he was clueless then proceeded to tell me he couldn’t find my online order. I come back in this morning at 7:30 ( opening time) and the employee is just setting in his car not opening the store so I can hopefully pick up my order from yesterday. No professionalism at all.
- EGEbony GrahamNov 28, 20251.0My engine light was on, so I decided to stop by the nearest Advanced store, which happened to be this location. I went inside and asked if I could have an employee hook a scanner to my car and tell me the details of the code that popped up. The young man that responded, rolled his eyes before grabbing a scanner. After showing unnecessary attitude, we went outside and he connected the scanner to my car. He ended up just telling me the code that he “saw” on the scanner. My problem is that he did not show me the code for me to view it myself or take a picture of it. He didn’t even tell me what that code indicates! What is the point of doing a scan test, if you won’t look up what the code(s) indicate for a customer??? He said that his manager told him to not tell any customers what the actual codes indicate… And if that is true, what a pointless act!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
