  I received Good customer service at this Mavis. I came in for a brake job and tires after other companies stated I needed them. I was informed by management that both my brakes and rotors are in good condition. I thank them for not trying to sell me something that I don't need.

  Wonderful experience, Chris and Andrew were extremely friendly and helped me with everything in a professional manner. Todd made sure I understood everything and checked that things went smoothly and I had no questions. I’m extremely grateful after having bad experiences other places, I will always come back here. Comfort and friendly is always a blessing when things go wrong.

  I came to Mavis Tires & Brakes on Hard Scrabble in Columbia to replace my father’s dry-rotted tires, and the service manager truly took care of us. He was calm, patient, and kind, taking the time to explain what he recommended and why, and making sure everything was handled safely and correctly. When an unexpected issue came up with my own tires, he didn’t hesitate—he just handled it, checked everything thoroughly, and made sure I felt comfortable with the work being done. That level of care meant a lot to me. It’s rare to feel this looked after at an auto shop, and it speaks volumes about the kind of service he provides. I trust this location and would gladly recommend it to anyone. These guys are the BEST! I needed to get my dad’s tire replace but was unable to get the tire off to put the spare on. Since the car was just behind the shop at the apartments James was kind enough to come over and get the tire off so I could put the spare on. In addition looking at my own car I found a big bolt in the tire are he also took care of getting that repaired for me as well. All of this was done in a very professional manner and smiles all the way. I have been coming to this Mavis since 2016 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and service I receive. From just a simple add some air please to replacing all my tires they take great care of me every time. Thank you guys ( James / Andrew) keep up the great work!

  I made an online appointment for 8:00 a.m., which Mavis later asked me to move to 9:30 due to high volume. I agreed, based on their estimate of “a couple hours.” When I arrived at 9:30, I was told I was next up and again quoted a couple hours. Two hours later, I called to check in and was told they had just taken the car back to inspect it. When I asked the manager, Scott, whether appointments actually make any difference, I got a string of excuses about how busy they were, corporate overbooking, and contradictory defenses of the appointment system itself. No clear answer, no ownership. When pressed for a realistic timeline, I was again told “a couple hours,” assuming they had the part, otherwise I’d need to make another appointment. The irony was apparently lost. The job ultimately took nearly 8 hours. I lost income from missed work and had to pay for an uber for my wife to get to work, on top of brake prices that aren’t especially competitive. I wasn't making up some fantasy about how they should be as fast as I want - I was more than accomidating for their timeline. They asked me to come in at a certain time then treated me like a walk-in. Scott was full of excuses, blamed others instead of taking responsibility, and wanted to argue instead of offering solutions. In the end, they wasted my time and I can promise they will waste yours. Others might do the same, but at least here you know what you'll get. I won't be coming back.
