My experience was good. I didn’t feel overly pressured and I was able to think about what I wanted so I wouldn’t regret my decision. My salesperson, Hermajesty Robbins was excellent.
I would suggest that during the final sales process when signing papers, things are explained in detail as to what is being signed and not just breeze through the papers like a buyer already knows what each form is saying. And I don’t think I got the best price for my vehicle because the internet signal wasn’t good so I couldn’t view the online price that was lower so I was a bit rushed to sign for a price that was low but could have been lower

I had a very frustrating experience trying to purchase a brand-new 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid SX from JT Kia Killian.
The first vehicle I agreed to purchase (white) had visible interior damage — a large blue stain on the driver’s leather seat that would not come out even after detailing, along with a scratch on a rear seat. Despite the car being sold as new, the dealership told me the stain “might” come out later but could not guarantee it. Their solution was either a $500 discount or to take my chances on a repair. That is unacceptable for a brand-new $45,000+ vehicle.
They then offered a second vehicle (black) for $45,500. They said $500 more due to this vehicle not having any defects like the white one. I agreed and they sent the vehicle for detailing while I went through the WHOLE process to buy this vehicle because I trusted JT Kia to deliver the absolute best service. I filled out all of the paperwork, went over all of the extended warranty/add on, they checked my credit score and I got approved for a loan from their finance company and I got insurance for the vehicle. The vehicle came out of the detailing and they installed the temporary license plate. The salesperson and I conducted a last walk through of the car. The interior was clean, but during dealer sticker removal, the dealership damaged the paint and left visible scratches. The salesman and I both agreed that there weren’t any noticeable scratches before getting the vehicle detailed. When I brought this up, the sale manager (B/M) told me that “black paint will never be perfect” and refused to compensate or properly fix the damage. The sales manager stated that I was getting a big discount already so he didn’t want to put in any more money on the vehicle. Keep in mind, I was told the Carnival is hard vehicle sell and it has been sitting in there lot for over 100 days. I asked they can refund $500 back since the Black Carnival also had a defect like the white one. The sales manager said no. He said I can either take the white (smudge leather seat) or the black carnival. I asked if I can get a spare tire due to the hybrid not having one and he said no. Instead, they offered a free oil change after first two free oil change, which does not come close to addressing dealer-caused paint damage.
I ended up taking the black one and people might say why instead of walking away. It’s because my wife who got into a car accident totaled her vehicle. We really needed a new vehicle and I was at the dealership the whole day. Additionally, I didn’t want to go through the inconvenience of canceling the insurance that I just signed up and then going to another dealership to go through the whole process again.
What bothered me most was the lack of accountability. Both vehicles had issues caused either before or during dealer handling, yet I was expected to accept defects on a brand-new car with minimal or no meaningful compensation. I understand that they was big discount but $45k is not a small amount of money that the dealership is gaining from selling an outdated vehicle that nobody wanted in 2025. On top of that if you’re going to advertise new car then it should have any major defects like I mentioned. I didn’t want to write this because the salesman was great but my experience and also what the sales manager said to me is not acceptable. This was my second vehicle that I bought from this dealership but I believe that it will be my LAST one unless the owner or the management or corporate do something regarding this issue.
If you are buying a new vehicle here, inspect everything very carefully and do not rely on verbal assurances. I expected better quality control and customer service when making a major purchase.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience buying a car for my daughter. Hermajesty at JT’s Kia of Columbia went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. She was incredibly patient, explained all of the details clearly, and truly cared about helping us make the right decision. She treated my daughter with respect and made this milestone feel special instead of overwhelming. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely kind, Hermajesty is the one to ask for!

UPDATE 1/7/2026:
I left a message in the dealership’s general mailbox, as the voicemail from the Finance Director did not include a direct line. Notably, sales was quick to return my call after I reached out through the dealership’s website in which our call got dropped but received text saying "...I'm passing your info along to a finance manager though!" @5:32pm.
For over six months (vehicle purchased in August), I have made repeated attempts to obtain documentation confirming which additional services or service plans were purchased with our 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid. Despite numerous calls and escalations, no manager or supervisor has returned my call.
I also submitted a complaint through the service department. Even with their assistance in escalating the issue, I have received no follow-up communication via phone, text, or email. I do want to acknowledge the front desk staff for their professionalism and for consistently forwarding my requests to the finance department.
I was informed that the finance manager who handled our purchase is no longer employed with the dealership; however, this does not explain or justify the continued lack of response. We paid the vehicle off within two months and reasonably expected to receive all related documentation in a timely manner.
The prolonged lack of communication and accountability from management has been extremely disappointing and has negatively impacted our experience. As a result, this will be our third and final vehicle purchase from this dealership.

The service department has a lot to be desired. The vehicle was not properly inspected after service, and customer service was very poor. Just 52 miles after an oil change, the oil drain plug came out, leaving me stranded off the highway. When I contacted the service department, the situation was treated as if it were a normal occurrence.
When I eventually received my vehicle back, it was still covered in oil despite being told it had been detailed. No apology or accountability was offered.
