  WARNING! Please be very cautious when trying to purchase a vehicle from Jim Hudson GMC in Columbia,S.C. We saw the exact vehicle on their website that we had been looking for. Called on 12/30/25 to make sure the vehicle was on the lot and get final price. Spoke with Jared Skiff. We called again on 12/31/25 to let Jared know that we wanted the vehicle and could pick it up later that day. We asked if he needed our bank to wire the money to secure the deal. He said no, just bring cashiers check. We called him again at 4PM to let him know we were in transit. Everything was good. It was 70 mi. drive for us. We called him again at 5:20PM to let him know we were about 10 minutes away. He put us on hold, then came back and said vehicle was just sold. We still drove to dealership because we wanted to speak with his manager. What a joke!! Joe Kelly (Floor Manager) came out and said all he could do was apologize. We asked to speak with someone higher up than him. He went in office and came back with a card Jim Hudson GMC - no name or title of person? We are old school. When a man gives his word, that’s it. We purchased 2 vehicles from Jim Hudson Chevrolet in Columbia in the last 2 years but will never step foot in another Jim Hudson Dealership.   Justin was very helpful when my appointment failed to show up. He got the appointment set and helpful. He then called on Saturday and said that the car was ready but the tech said that there was a couple of things that needed to mention. After he explained what needed to be done I advised him to do the job.

  One star because zero isn’t an option. I had an extremely frustrating experience with the sales team at Jim Hudson GMC this morning. I emailed with a salesman the day before and worked out a deal specifically for a 2026 GMC Terrain Denali. I was told everything was good to go and that all that remained was to come in, sign the paperwork, and bring a check. When I arrived, I test-drove the vehicle and went inside to finalize everything. That’s when the story changed. The salesman told me he needed to “rework the numbers” because the pricing he had given me was actually for a Terrain AT4—a completely different vehicle that I never asked about or discussed. He said it should still be fine and needed to check with his manager. The manager then came out and explained they couldn’t sell me a Terrain Denali for the price of an AT4 and that somehow “wires got crossed.” I made it very clear that nothing should have been crossed—I inquired about one specific vehicle and was assured via email that the deal was confirmed. After being told the deal was set and taking time out of my day to come in, it became clear this was a bait-and-switch situation. Be very cautious believing anything you’re quoted here. Even when you clearly spell out the exact vehicle you want, the numbers apparently aren’t reliable.
