I went in to have my alternator checked since my car’s been having issues. I told him what my issue was but he insisted over and over that it had to be the battery without even offering to check the alternator. I asked if he could at least check it, but he still kept telling me "it's gotta be your battery" even after telling him the battery was new. I ended up going to AutoZone, and they actually ran the test for me with no problem (nothing was wrong with my battery). I expected better customer service from a parts store especially when I’m coming in for something as simple as a check up 😐

I came to get my battery tested because my battery died suddenly and left me stranded. I was able to get a jump and came to Advance AutoZone. The gentleman that was working told me to cut the car off so he could test the battery . I didn't think there would be any issues so I cut the car off. He didnt tell me or show me anything about the status of the battery. He only said that something was stopping it from charging. He told me to crank the car back up but I couldn't because it had died again. I asked him if he could just replace the battery and he said his policy wouldn't allow him to change the battery. I asked if there was anything he could do to help me since he told me to cut the car off. He mentioned not having his car to be able to help jump me off. He then walked inside and left me stranded. I had to call my mother to give me a jump. I couldn't quite figure out how to connect the black cable so I went back in the store to ask for help. I asked the woman who was working there too for help because it was obvious that the guy who assisted me didn't want to help me any further. When I asked for her help, she immediately looked at him. Neither of them really wanted to help me so I said " You know what? Nevermind" , and I stormed out the store. I went back under the hood trying to figure it out again and the male worker who had assisted me earlier came back out. He helped with connecting the cable and apologized for everything after the fact but at that point, I was beyond livid. I went to AutoZone and they tested and replaced my battery within thirty minutes. I understand not having the tools needed to help someone but to just abandon someone after they trusted you to help is cruel.
