  Réservation affichée à 73 € pour 6 jours via Booking, mais arrivé chez Alamo, impossible de récupérer la voiture sans payer une “assurance obligatoire” supplémentaire de 161 € parce que j’avais une carte de débit et non une carte de crédit. En France, près de 70 % des cartes bancaires sont des cartes de débit, et cela ne pose aucun problème pour louer un véhicule : les agences font simplement une préautorisation temporaire sur la carte, comme cela se fait aussi pour des essais de véhicules ou d’autres locations. Ici, rien n’était clairement indiqué au moment de la réservation. Une fois sur place, soit vous payez, soit vous restez bloqué à l’aéroport sans voiture. Passer de 73 € à plus de 230 € ressemble clairement à une méthode de vente trompeuse. Je me suis senti piégé et arnaqué. Je ne recommande absolument pas cette agence.

  Felt like this company deserves a good review based on my experience. A friendly lady guided me through the paperwork upon arrival near the airport, I had a Skoda Octavia that felt brand new and was super comfortable. They offer you an insurance but they don’t shove it down your throat if you have your own. Returning it was also an easy process, and they released the money held on my credit card the same day. Overall a positive experience.

  Lopovi ,tražili na licu mesta dodatno osiguranje od 350e,iako je sve bilo uplačeno unapred.time su ukrali 500e za rezervaciju,koju nisu hteli da vrate,booking takodje učestvuje zajedno u ovom kriminalu. Pljačkaju ljude koji dolaze iz inostranstva,i prinudjeni su da plate dodatni novac bez ikakve potvrde ili priznanice. Ne izdaju nikakve račune ,ni dokumenta,da ispadne da se niste ni pojavili da preuzmete rezervisani i plačen auto. Organizovani kriminal!

  Classic credit/debit substitution scam scheme - if you don't have a credit card and call to check whether they accept a debit card, they say that they do. But when you arrive, they refuse to accept it. Then they put on a show "Let me call my boss" and "My boss has agreed to make an exception for you" and they agree to accept the card only if you pay additional "a full coverage fee", which is ridiculously twice as expensive as the entire booking price.

  We booked a car through Expedia without insurance, as I don’t usually like paying extra for something I rarely use. However, when we arrived, we were informed that they needed to place a €4,000 hold on my credit card simply because I didn’t purchase any insurance. I have never been in a situation with a rental company requiring such a high deposit. I booked an SUV for a week, not a luxury car for a month. Long story short, I refused to block such a large amount on my credit card since I wasn’t sure I could trust the company, so I decided to purchase their insurance instead, which to my surprise, was twice as expensive as the car rental itself. It felt excessive and left me with no real option. When we finally got to the handover, we were given a Chinese MG car (a low-quality vehicle) and the trunk wasn’t even opening. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes to get another vehicle.The rest of the experience with Alamo was okay, but their customer service is quite poor. It may be a cultural difference, or perhaps financial services here are not at the level I expected, so you may need to lower your expectations when coming here from the Western world.
