  Terrible Experience with SIXT Belgrade Airport – Never Again! Car rent on 12 September 2026. One of the worst car rental experiences I've ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding SIXT at Belgrade Airport. First, I had to wait almost two hours because their systems were not working due to power issues. After finally getting their systems running, I was informed that the vehicle I had originally reserved was not available. Instead of providing a suitable replacement at the agreed price, they told me I had to pay extra to get another vehicle in the same category. How is that the customer's responsibility when SIXT fails to provide the car that was booked? Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. After returning the rental car, SIXT charged my credit card more than the agreed amount, without providing a satisfactory explanation. To make matters worse, their return report stated that the vehicle's exterior was dirty, even though I had personally cleaned it before returning it. The car was actually cleaner than when I received it, and I have photographs to prove it. Their own return report confirms that the vehicle was returned with a full tank, no new damage, and no equipment issues. Two hours wasted, no reserved vehicle available, forced to pay extra for a replacement, and additional charges after returning the car. This is not how a professional rental company should treat its customers. The entire experience left me feeling misled, overcharged, and extremely disappointed. My advice: Stay away from SIXT Belgrade Airport. Be extremely careful with their pricing, check every charge, and take photographs of everything.

  Seamless experience with 24/7 customer service. Although it was last min reservation, was super easy to book and collect the car with no waiting time. Staff are kind and helpful. 👍🏻 I will be returning for sure.

  When I arrived I was so happy with the service and approach, not realizing that I am getting into the trap. Colleague at the counter said that '' it will be cheaper '' if we go for prepaid fuel, because of the current prices, so I agreed. Ending up throwing 85€ to the bin on return. Car had 5/8 of the tank left when I returned it. That is so cheeky. Day light robbery. Charged 50 liters of fuel for nothing. Even reservoir - fuel tank on that Citroen C3 Picasso is smaller than that and can't take that amount of fuel! I said I will share my recent experience here, so another customer doesn't get trapped the same way.

  Overcharged I have had previous experiences with rental companies throughout the world and I have never experienced something like this. The car itself was fine, no problem there but when I booked it online it showed one price. After getting to the airport and their counter I was charged another amount (literally almost double) for the insurance. I mean when you book any car, you put all the info and the dates so whatever the total is it should be the same. I was paying almost double at the end. Another most ridiculous problem, if you have an outstanding parking ticket the leasing company they’re working with will maybe pay for the ticket without you knowing. So at the return of the vehicle, if you go online and check if you have and outstanding parking violation it wouldn’t show online because the leasing company paid for it and after return they will charge your card on file (without any consent or knowledge about the ticket). Most ridiculous problem!! After calling their customer service, they simply said, there’s nothing they can do. No more Sixt for me.

  To start off my review I want to add that I have travelled a lot and have rented quite a few vehicles. this has to be top 5 of places NOT to rent from. First thing. Very unprofessional staff, I’m not sure if the guy was having a bad day or my ethnicity bothered him.. either way very unprofessional.upon getting my keys and paying extra than what was advertised I was given my keys and told to look for the car in the parkade and find it myself.no help whatsoever no clear instructions. Upon receiving my rental everything was fine until the vehicle wouldn’t turn on, turns out there was NO OIL in the car. Which tells me they do not properly inspect their vehicles before handing you the keys. Upon calling the rental company I was told to fix it myself and bring the receipt for reimbursement. At drop off I was charged more money! No clarification at all and I was given a run around. at that point I just wanted to get out of there and never give them my business again. Lesson learned.
