- SMSebastian MezaJan 1, 20262.0A year ago I got my inspection sticker here and it was quick and painless. More recently I got my oil changed and also had my car inspected. They quoted me $1500 for a repair job. It seemed high and a bit unnecessary for me. I went to L&H instead the next day and they did the inspection + job the same day for me for only $500, yes L&H did fewer things to my car, but they did only what I needed. For example L&H fixed my car headlight by just unplugging and replugging the wire instead of trying to buy a new pair of headlights like Monro would, one was free, the other would have been like $100. Perhaps L&H is just more efficient, perhaps Monro was just looking to take more of my money. Maybe a bit of both. Either way I figured this review would help someone looking to not get ripped off since that's common with car mechanics. Always ask why something needs servicing if you feel skeptical, and don't be afraid to take time on a decision or get a second opinion.
