  On Friday I called to schedule a RI State Auto inspection. I spoke to a man who said be here at 400pm, any later and your done. Then he hangs up. I was going to say no problem but after that type of rudeness I took my business elsewhere. If that’s the way they talk to people on the phone, stay away

  Had kind of an unfortunate interaction with the front desk guy. Had an appointment for a scheduled drop off between 1-7 for tires. I get there around 3:30. I go to check in he’s like “you came much later than I expected you to” to which I was like sorry man should I like come back, to which he responded no no no it’s fine we were just about to take lunch and I haven’t eaten since 6:30 this morning. And I’m like sorry man that stinks. Then after another kinda passive aggressive exchange I was just like man I’ll go somewhere else. I understand people go through stuff, and not every day can be our best, but it was a wild interaction and lost the business a customer. Hope his day gets better, and hope others experience better customer service.

  I really don’t be doing reviews but I really feel like this service was so legit I need to. I booked an online appointment as I was coming into town for a work event. I had been told by a Firestone the day before that my brakes were shot and I had metal in metal scraping on the rotors. I was concerned this was going to be a big job. I had planned to go in after my event at 6pm Sean called me during the day to confirm my appointment and see what was going on, he let me know brake jobs typically take longer than an hour and wanted to set the right expectation. I was able to bring it in early and Sean was extremely professional and informative. I got a call maybe an hour later giving me an honest assessment saying my brakes were fine and everything checked it was actually corrosion on the rotors due to rust causing them to sound like they had gone bad. Sean was honest and did not try and up charge me/ take advantage of the situation. I appreciate that especially coming from the previous day someone quoting me 500 dollars to change my brakes. I live in Boston but seriously will make the commute to come back just to work with Sean. Finding a trust worthy person that will work on your car is literal gold and Sean at Monro Auto Service is that. I will come back and recommend this to anyone that I know that needs work on their cars.
