- SMSisi Ma6 days ago5.0I stopped by to buy an oil filter for my RAV4 Hybrid. The CarQuest filter for my car was out of stock, so I asked a young associate for help. He recommended a Mobil 1 filter priced at $18. When I went to check out, he was busy chatting with a friend. Fortunately, Alfredo—a senior associate—stepped in and took the time to help me look again. He found a Fram filter that was on sale for just $4. It was great to see someone like Alfredo go above and beyond to genuinely help a customer.

The staff informed that I had a problem with the alternator that was draining the battery and needs to be fixed prior to battery replacement. I fixed the alternator with a local mechanic, came back and the same staff Brandon was able to replace the battery, and demonstrated how to do this. Brandon was also honest and maintain high quality of customer service. I would recommend customers to come this store.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
