  My husband had a great experience at Melvin’s. After getting a flat tire on his way home from work, he went to Melvin’s for service. They were able to save the tire, turned it around same day, and were friendly and courteous throughout. Such a relief after the stress of getting a flat. Thanks Melvin’s! When we need help in the future, we’ll be back

  I was traveling for work, hundreds of miles from home when, pulling into a parking lot, a screw drove through my tire, making it necessary to replace. Being so far from a trusted mechanic, I looked over reviews when I found these guys. Not only were they extremely friendly and knowledgeable, but they repaired my tire faster than I could have hoped for, and had me back on the road, safe, and without a dent to my wallet! If you’re ever stranded in or near Kingstown, RI, you can confidently trust this team to have you back on the road quickly and fairly. If you live in or near Kingstown, I hope that these guys are your go-to mechanics!

  We were visiting in the area on a Sunday afternoon & the check engine light came on in my Honda CRV. Melvin’s kindly inspected the car & let us know the problem & told us given the readings they thought we would be able to make it the 5 1/2 hours home. We appreciated their honesty & kindness to visitors.

  I brought my truck here because of a squeaky pulley. I had my daughter drop it off. They called her and told her the price of $800. And then she called me in within the 15 minutes that I called Tire Pros back to challenge the extremely high cost. They told me that they already ordered the parts so I can’t take it and bring it somewhere else. they also told me that the main pulley cost over $200 that’s why the price was so high. They kept the vehicle for five days. Saying they didn’t have the parts. When I pressured them to get it done they replaced one of the two pulleys. They said they couldn’t get the other Pulley even though the technician told me that it was already ordered that’s why I couldn’t go somewhere else. Then after they replaced the pulley, they didn’t even replace the $12 serpentine belt Which had to be taken off to put on the new pulley. I was charged $500 to replace one pulley. Now a couple months later, The worn serpentine belt Broke And I had to bring it to somebody else. The other auto body shop charged me $110 to replace the second pulley and the belt. After Tire Pros told me that that pulley cost over $200 by itself. Apparently a complete lie. Doing the same amount of labor that Tire Pros charged $500 for. The thing that I’m most pissed about is that they called my daughter instead of me and then when I called 15 minutes later to tell them not to do the work I wanted to bring it somewhere else. They told me that I could not. I had to pay the exorbitant price because they already ordered the parts. Which was a lie because it was only 15 minutes later. And after all that they didn’t even replace the belt that they had to take off, which was no extra labor and $12 extra for the actual belt. Absolutely ridiculous. This place is full of liars and scammers. I specifically asked for the serpentine belt to be replaced because they were taking it off anyway. The technician that scammed me deserves to be fired.

  I went to Melvin’s Tire for a tire repair and couldn’t be happier with the service and work performed. I was in and out in no time and the staff did a great job helping me all along the way. I would highly recommend them for all your tire needs. Great work and great service. Respectfully, David Marquis
