  This is a review for the location and not Penske itself. Short statement is; do not pick up your Penske truck at this satellite location which is a Homedepot shop and rather go directly to a Penske main side, even when you have to drive some distance. We had recently to rent a 16 ft truck and car trailer for a cross country move. All reservation was done online including blankets and box cart to load. When we arrived to pickup the truck at the Homedepot, there was a line for HD equipment rental and penske trucks, so the whole process took close to an hour, because the HD employee we worked with was not familiar with all details. Then the ordered blankets where not available, nor the box cart. Next we checked the truck and it was 1k miles over the posted maintenance milagrs as posted at the door sticker. We wanted to add 3.2k miles on that trip. Next the loading area was dirty and we ask to have it clean got a broom as HD employees do not own the penske service. The driver cabin was extremely dirty and it took us 1 h and many microfiber cloth and interior cabin cleaning spray to remove the grim from seats, dash and floor of the truck we planned to spend for 6 days around 12 to 14 hours daily. Again HD employees stated they are not Penske and do not own the status of the truck. Next we tried to hook up the assigned dual axel car trailer and the lock mechanism did not latch. So it was not usable for us. We got from the HD employee then anther trailer assigned, but that was parked in a way that we could not move the truck in front of it. Agai. No assistance was from the HD emoyees offered to push manualthe heavy trailers around to hook the new assigned trailer to the truck. Oh, by the way while we all had to do this it was pouring rain. When we wanted to leave we discovered the wipers are shot and again no help from the HD folks who had no ownership, beside we could drive to the main Penske site in Bedfort, MA. We rather drove to the next Autozone and purchased a set of new wipers which came then very handy on our 3200 mile trip. We cleaned the cabin very detailed while loading the truck and then it was actually pretty usable and pleasant. We made the trip cross country then without issue and the truck, although over its maintenance schedule handled fine. We discovered that one of the rear tires was missing g a little piece of rubber, but the tire was holding up. At our destination we decided not to drop off the rig at the assigned HD store and rather drove then to a Penske main side in Carson, CA. What a difference in service. We got help to unload the car, park the trailer at a spot , while it again was raining. We received the offer to keep the still loaded truck over night at the Penske location, so that we can drive with our trailered vehicle to our hotel and pick up early morning the truck again to go to the new apartment and unload it. We also got a box cart provided which was a live saver for us. We picked up the next day our safe parked truck, unloaded it at the new apartment and then dropped it off at the same Penske location and all was done in less then 5 min. What we learned onthis rental. Go to a a real Penske location and not a partner. Certainly fo not pick up a truck at the Homedepot in Middletown. At a Penske owned location, check for cleanless, check wipers, all tires in detail and maintenance due miles as posted in yhd door. If not accurate and satisfied have them correct it. Pretty sure they will, but not sure if the Bedford, MA location would, as they delivered our truck and trailer to the Homedepot in Middletown, RI
