  I had an appointment at 1 pm to have 4 new tires on my vehicle. My car didn’t get into the service bay until 1:40. The people at the front desk were joking around and not professional at all. Needless to say I did not leave until 415 pm and left without having the job completed. They still had not done the tire alignment. I would not recommend this company at all unless you have a whole afternoon to waste. Very disappointed!

  I visited Mavis store in Johnston RI on 1/3/26 with a tire losing air due to an embedded screw. The customer service associate greeted me in a pleasant and friendly manner. He informed me how long my wait would be. Within the timeframe I was quoted, a technician brought the paperwork for my completed service to the front desk and he was also very pleasant to talk to. As if the experience wasn’t extremely satisfying enough, there was no charge for plugging the tire!! Truly amazing experience! I highly recommend this Mavis store.

  I cannot say enough good things about Mavis Tire in Johnston. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, walking into an auto shop can feel intimidating—but the team here completely changed that experience for me. They were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and took the time to explain everything in a way that actually made sense, without ever talking down to me or making me feel rushed. They were honest about what I needed versus what could wait, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. It’s rare to find an automotive shop that combines expertise with genuine care, but this location truly does. If you’re someone who’s trying to navigate car maintenance without being an expert (especially women who’ve had less-than-great experiences elsewhere), this is absolutely the place to go. I trust them completely and won’t go anywhere else.

  Called for an appointment the day before, arrived early because I called to see if they could get it done any sooner. The person I spoke with said yes you can get here at 330, I left just before 6pm without getting my tires replaced because I had to be somewhere. Go elsewhere unless you don’t mind waiting almost 3 hours.

  I got hustled here a few years ago, they straight up lied and upsold me $600 to replace pads, and a caliper that I didn’t need. I didn’t know how to replace brake pads at the time, but now I do my own and realized how bad they took advantage of me, especially when I barely had any money left to my name. Best part? They didn’t bleed my brakes correctly, the brakes weren’t working right which was a major safety hazard. I had to come back the next day for them to do it right. Do your brakes yourself. It’s very easy. If you go to body shops they play their game about liability and how they don’t want to release because they care sooooo much about your safety.
