At first it was dirty and needed cleaning (ok, but my flight was 5 hours delayed which they knew about, so how was car not ready?). Then, the car apparently had damage and they could not let me take it. Then they offered me a car without all wheel drive (which we specifically booked because of the snow we would be driving in). They gave out cars to everyone else BEHIND us in line, including an all wheel drive Ford F150. After an HOUR AND A HALF waiting, they gave us a small car that we shoved our luggage into and drove off. Absolutely miserable experience from their incompetent team. Hopefully Alamo will make this right and at least credit the difference in price for the rental type.
