  Worst rent a car experience you could ever imagine. Your reservation means nothing. Last year they called the day before our reservation informing us that they had no cars and forcibly cancelled our reservation leaving us scrambling day of to find a way home for the holidays. This year with no notice we were given an electric vehicle on 15% charge leaving us to figure out how to charge it and causing many hours of delay. What would’ve been a 5 hour trip turned into a 10 hour affair. Both times trip ruined. Not one ounce of remorse or understanding from the renter. No priority for the client. In fact both times they had the audacity to ask us if we were completely satisfied and tried to make it seem like they were doing us a favour by giving us a car. Absolutely horrible! There’s a reason near the holiday season this is the only place with rental “availability”. They lie.

  Agence à fuir – manque total de professionnalisme et aucune fiabilité ! Nous avions réservé 2 SUV pour un road trip en famille au Canada, avec confirmation écrite par e-mail. La veille du départ, nous avons même appelé l’agence pour reconfirmer la réservation. On nous a garanti que les modèles prévus étaient bien des SUV, et que chaque voiture pourrait accueillir 4 valises dans le coffre, ce qui était indispensable pour notre voyage. Mais une fois arrivés sur place, grosse surprise : l’agent d’accueil voulait nous faire payer pour… une berline, sans même nous la montrer ! Heureusement, nous avons demandé à voir le véhicule avant de payer, et il s’est avéré que ce modèle n’était absolument pas adapté à nos besoins. Malgré notre confirmation de réservation et notre appel de la veille, l’agent a été désagréable, non coopératif, et catégorique : “C’est tout ce qu’on a, sinon partez.” Aucune solution proposée, aucun effort pour résoudre le problème, un mépris total du client et une attitude arrogante, comme si nous étions responsables de leur mauvaise gestion. Notre voyage a failli être compromis si nous n’avions pas réussi à trouver une autre agence à la dernière minute. Une agence non fiable qui ne respecte pas ses engagements. À éviter absolument si vous ne voulez pas gâcher vos vacances.

  I’ve been a loyal Enterprise customer for over six years and have never experienced anything as disappointing and unprofessional as what happened at the Décarie branch. I originally reserved a premium crossover (Dodge Durango or similar) at the Rue de la Savane location a week in advance for Saturday, October 4 at 8:00 AM. On Friday at 5:30 PM, I received a call from that location letting me know they might not have the vehicle available. While that was unfortunate, I appreciated their honesty and effort they suggested a few options and even recommended checking availability at nearby branches. Following their suggestion, I found the same vehicle class available at the Décarie location (6100 Decarie Blvd, Montreal, Quebec H3X 2J8). I reserved it online that Friday evening for pickup the next morning. But when I arrived on Saturday, the manager at Décarie told me the only option was a Mitsubishi Outlander. Although technically a 7-seater, it is not a premium crossover and definitely not in the same class as the Dodge Durango. We even looked it up online and showed the classification difference, but the manager simply dismissed it and said: “If I say this is a premium crossover, then that’s what it is.” When I pointed out that there was a Dodge Durango parked right there, he said that they had reserved that vehicle the night before and were keeping it in case another customer came in, even though I had a valid reservation for that exact category. He told me flat out: “I won’t give it to you.” When I reminded him of my rental history and long-time loyalty to Enterprise, his response was simply that he didn’t care, and repeated that he’s the manager and makes the decisions. Then I went back to the Rue de la Savane branch, where my original reservation had been made. The representative there was respectful and helpful. He looked into their inventory system and confirmed that Décarie had both a Dodge Durango and a Toyota Sienna available. He even tried calling the Décarie manager to explain the situation and request one of the vehicles but Décarie still refused to rent them to us. Because of all this, we had no choice but to change our entire travel plan. We ended up renting a 5-seater vehicle from Rue de la Savane, and also had to rent another 5-seater from a different rental company, just to accommodate our group of 7. This unnecessary situation caused a 2.5-hour delay and a major disruption to our trip. I’ve attached screenshots of my reservation and the Décarie vehicle availability at the time to support what I’ve described. This wasn’t a case of overbooking or miscommunication it was a clear case of unethical behavior and customer disregard by the Décarie manager. What made the experience even worse was the manager’s unprofessional attitude. Instead of helping, he repeatedly said he didn’t care about the customer, insisted he could make the rules however he wanted, and spoke to us with complete disrespect. To anyone considering Enterprise: don’t rely on your reservation alone, especially at this branch. The staff made it clear they can ignore your reservation and treat customers however they like, regardless of how long you’ve been with the company. I will not be recommending Enterprise anymore based on this experience. If you’re planning a trip, only finalize your plans after you physically receive your rental car because a confirmed reservation clearly doesn’t guarantee anything at the Décarie location.
