  The National car rental has a temporary counter right at the cruise terminal (ask terminal staff if you can’t find them)! I rent their car twice. The staff was there with my first reservation(9/19), but for my second reservation (10/8), I had to ask the terminal staff to call them and the National staff came in 20 mins(they didn’t notice my rental reservation made a 1 month before). I recommend calling them in advance to confirm you have a pick-up from the port. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is absolutely amazing for cruise travelers and the drop off is very easy.

  What a JOKE! After reading advice from previous travelers I made sure to make a reservation in advance. Surprise! Got off my cruise ship to find out that they did not have our car here. The local person just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do even though I had a reservation and a confirmation. Called the home office and their only suggestion was to find a way to get to another location 30 miles away to get to an alternate rental. About the worst least helpful customer service I have seen in a long time. Seriously! I can promise you National Car rental has seen the last of my business. Thanks for ruining my one day trip to Saguenay.

  Doesn't exist. 900 Rue Mars is a tourist centre. My friends and I requested a car from here, and received a confirmation, but the next morning when we took a taxi to 900 Rue Mars, there was no National Car Service there or anywhere in La Baie (according to many of the locals that we asked and from driving around looking for one). The phone number is completely useless as well, absolutely no way to talk to a real person to problem solve. Thankfully we didn't have to pay a deposit to request the car. And bless our taxi driver for helping us try to find it in the area.
