  NTB on East Market st has been taking care of all my family’s cars for a long time now, and I honestly couldn’t ask for better service. The staff is always professional, honest, and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain what’s needed without trying to upsell or pressure you. The work is done right, on time, and at a fair price. It’s hard to find a shop you can truly trust, but this location has earned our loyalty. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable auto care

  I went to National Tire & Battery in York, PA for a flat repair and tire rotation. What happened next was alarming, dishonest, and could have put my family at risk. After waiting, an employee casually handed me my keys with no paperwork, no explanation, no signature, and no payment required. That alone raised red flags. When I got into my car—with my three-year-old child—the TPMS immediately showed the tire at 19 PSI, indicating the flat had not been properly repaired. I also noticed the tires had not been rotated. Unbeknownst to the technician and salesperson, my tires were marked. They were in the exact same positions. I asked them to step outside and calmly explained that I was about to drive 10 hours with two small children and simply needed to know whether the work they claimed to do was actually done. They repeatedly insisted the tires were rotated. When I told them the tires were marked, they looked at each other—clearly realizing they had been caught. I also noticed the lug nuts were spinning, which anyone familiar with vehicles knows is common with two-piece lug nuts when the chrome caps separate. Despite this, they claimed the lugs had been removed and the tires rotated. That was not true. I filed a complaint with corporate the same day. After reviewing the security footage, corporate confirmed that the technician DID NOT rotate the tires. This wasn’t a misunderstanding. This was blatant dishonesty, followed by repeated false statements—while my children were in the car and I was preparing for a long trip. This location cannot be trusted to perform basic services or to be truthful when confronted. Cutting corners is one thing—lying about work that impacts customer safety is unacceptable. Unfortunately, my understanding is that the responsible technician and sales person will still be employed there, but will require “further training.” I will never return, and I strongly recommend others take their business elsewhere. The store as a whole deserves far worse than a one star review. On the other hand, the regional manager was helpful and found solutions (which four days later are still being worked out).
