They are terrible. First my device was not ready to be installed but me being new I kept getting emails, so I contacted intoxalock and they said I was eligible to get it installed. Set me up with a vendor to install it so I paid the amount, just to find out I was not eligible, and it should not have been installed. So, I paid over 300 for nothing. They guy knew that he was thirsty to get some time up sale or incentive. This company sucks, every time you call it is a hassle to talk to someone with robots repeating the same thing you do not want to hear.

Very poor service and unprofessional. Told me my car would be done that day and it wasn’t. Tried to charge me more than what was discussed with someone there also my car is driving weird now since I left there. Go at your own risk.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority.
