- JJJAGG JAGGOct 28, 20251.0Called yesterday for a part and was told they have one available. We asked if they would hold it until this morning. They said they don't have very many demands for the part and if they sold it yesterday they would order another one and have it available first thing this morning. Arrived this morning to get it. Wasted over a half an hour while 3 people looked for the part and guess what? IT WASN'T THERE! The drive up and back was 30 min each way. Nobody takes pride in their work anymore. If the person saying that it was in stock actually cared to look like we asked, this waste of our time and gas would not have happened. Can I give a −5 stars???

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
