I would never recommend General RV to anybody. I believe they make false warranty claim work. They tried to say I needed parts for my sink and they could not fix it then. Telling me I had to bring it back. So they sent me home with a sink that was not attached. I called them and I asked him if they could’ve at least attached it to the sink so it wouldn’t be Bob and they said no. I got frustrated. I went underneath the sink and attached it and tighten up the pipes myself. It did not need any new parts. I fixed it myself in 30 minutes. There was no reason why General RV could not have done what I did. I was flat out, lied too. That leads me to believe they are making false warranty claims to get paid on. In my photos, you see that nothing was really needed. I did use a little bit of plumbing tape. Every time I’ve complained to them they say I’m the problem and they don’t like my attitude. Go figure. They only lied to me.

Recently had my new Rockwood RV dewinterized. They did a HORRIBLE job. Floors were all filthy with muddy boot prints, and they left pink winterization chemical all over the floors, which also permanently stained the inside of one of my cabinets. The quality and prices have gotten worse since General bought out Stoltzus.

I saw a post on facebook marketplace for a camper from a salesperson for General RV. I reached out and scheduled a time to come look at it and a couple others. I went on a Saturday and I found one I really liked. The salesperson took all my information and put it in a computer and wrote how much the total for all the taxes and fees would be. She then walked away to talk to her team and came back and wrote $209-$219 down and asked if I would be comfortable with those payments based on the down payment we talked about. I said yeah I would definitely move forward, but I wanted someone to look at a part of the camper that appeared to be damaged. We agreed that I could bring an inspector at a later date and I put a refundable deposit down with their finance person, Sisto. That Monday their insurance people reached out to set up insurance and we agreed to have my inspector come Saturday and then complete the purchase with their inspector’s approval. The plan was for me to bring the camper home that Saturday. Wednesday I was speaking to my salesperson about additional work being done prior to taking possession when she asked if I heard anything from finance. I said no so she said she would have them follow up. Later Wednesday I got an email from Sisto with a credit application. I thought it was an official application after the one we did in the office. Thursday I was talking to my salesperson person about work to be done before pickup when Sisto called. He told me he had great news. He said he found financing. The catch was he wanted me to pay over double a down payment and then $357 a month instead of the $209-$229 they wrote on the agreement. He said that number wasn’t based on my credit and was an estimate, which was never explained to me or the person I was with. I told him that wasn’t acceptable and he said he would work on finding something better. I never heard from him again. Later my salesperson called about the work because there had been no communication to her that there was a problem. She had her sales manager reach out who said the number I was given was based on estimates, not my credit because they didn’t have my information. I said they had my information because I gave it to them on Saturday and that if it was based on an estimate then it should have been explained. I hired an inspector, set up insurance, and was having work done on the camper, why would we do all that before finalizing financing? He had no answer and said he would reach out later. I never heard from him again. I called the next day and asked for finance. The other guy who works in finance answered and I informed him what was going on and that I just wanted my deposit back. He told me he’s never heard of a deal being handled this way and didn’t know why it was done. He told me the refund would happen at the end of the day when reconciliation happens and the money would be back in my account the next day. Later they had someone call to get my card information to process the refund because the financing guy was wrong. They then attempted to charge me again. It’s now days later and I still don’t have my money back when they said it would be the next day. Honestly, my salesperson was great. The rest of the people there don’t seem like they communicate with each other and participate in dishonest business practices to generate sales.

We love West Chester General RV! This is our second purchase from them and have had extremely thorough and helpful experiences. Bud took us through our first look around of the van we were touring and gave us detailed information and was so friendly and fun to talk with all about camping experiences. Michael was awesome in finance and we appreciated other assistance from Maureen and Rob as well. Lastly, thank you to Marty for the helpful and informative walk-through of the final product. Everyone we worked with was great and we can't wait to get on the road soon!
