Looking for an honest garage? You found one! I had a long list of things I needed done to my Honda. They quoted a fair price but spent two additional days chasing an issue without a single cent added to the bill. To boot they fixed an unrelated issue with the “snow” button, again, without an additional charge. Just an honest place that does high quality work with friendly customer service. We are lucky to have found them! Thanks guys!! 🙏

In May 2025, I brought my ‘09 Pontiac G8 to Strite’s Garage for a major rear-suspension overhaul. I supplied over $1,000 in new bushings for the job. The shop performed additional work I did not authorize and attempted to charge me for services I had specifically discussed — which showed no signs of being completed. When I picked up the car, it was pulling to the right, scraping during turns, and howling at speed. I left a voicemail after the test drive to report the issues and explain I would be having the work inspected by a third-party shop before proceeding. Instead of replying directly, they reached out to family members of mine. That alone was enough to damage my trust in how this business handles communication and conflict. Over the following weeks: -A tire shop found the subframe was misaligned, bolts were improperly torqued, and the alignment was far off -After multiple visits to resolve it, I still had to go to a GM dealership twice to get the vehicle driving straight In total, it cost me over 15 hours and additional repair bills just to correct Strite’s original work When I attempted to resolve things, the owner acknowledged the situation. Instead of a professional resolution, I received a religiously framed message offering a lump sum payout if I met him in person at a specific time. Summary: In my experience, Strite’s Garage: -Performed suspension work incorrectly -Billed me for work I didn’t approve -Billed me for work that wasn’t done -Avoided direct communication and involved unrelated third parties -Attempted to resolve things through emotional and religious pressure

****WARNING**** This place is not what it seems. I have read through some of these reviews and I don't know if these are friends of this business or not but they are not honest!!! 2 weeks ago my girlfriends 2004 Nissan Sentra refused to start. I spent that Friday night and all day Saturday checking everything from the coil packs to the fuel pump. Tried everything I could think of. Unfortunately advance auto didn't have a compression tester I could rent so that was the only thing I couldn't check. So, my girlfriend was forced to have someone else look at it. She chose Strite and I checked online to find they had good reviews so I trusted the assessment they made. According to them they had found problems in the 2 and 4 cylinders. Antifreeze had leaked into the cylinders. They said they blew out the antifreeze in the cylinders which was allowing the car to start again. Unfortunately, antifreeze leaking into the cylinders means that a head is cracked or the head gasket is bad. This seemed off to me but she was able to drive it home so I started looking to find a solution to this problem. After looking we came to the conclusion to trade in the car it was worthless at this point. Luckily, I had a local business that works on my companies semi trucks take a look before I traded it in. NO PROBLEMS!!!!! They let it idle for over 4 hours and ran the piss out of it getting it up over 100mph. Checked the compression which was fine. Cylinders were completely antifreeze free and there wasn't any smoke coming out of the tailpipe (this white smoke is indicative of antifreeze burning in the engine) Mind you the car had been stopped and started about 3 or 4 times. This wouldn't happen if there was anything wrong with the gasket or head. The quote from Strite to fix this "problem" $2100 to replace the head gasket, spark plugs, oxygen sensor, head gasket bolts after they had already charged $140 to "run diagnostics". I will let you decide whether this was an "honest" experience with Strite. It is because of shops like this, trying to take advantage of a young woman who doesn't know anything about a car, that there is such a bad reputation on car shops. I will be actively voicing this to the local community and my neighbors. Maybe one day people like this will develop a conscience and realize they can make an honest living without having to trick people into extensive, unnecessary repairs.
