My name is Chuck Shumaker and my wife's name is Tanya. Our auto repair shop opened in 1994, and we gave our heart and soul to this business. For the first 8 years, we had only 2 service bays. It was hard work and a lot of car repair and maintenance was done out in the parking lot in the rain and snow. We were blessed with so many good people in the area that we were able to add 4 more service bays in 2002. We are now open 6 days a week and our highly skilled mechanics are fortunate to work on the most up to date vehicles using the newest equipment for repair and service. Almost took my life.
My family has bought 2 vehicles advertised through this shop and serviced many vehicles here over the last 15-20 years. Never again. Replaced dead battery, then didn’t start next day. Towed at my expense, replaced starter, didn’t start upon returning home. Started next day and was fine for a couple of months, then no start again. Quoted for more electrical work that was obviously damaged during the first two “repairs” and decided to go elsewhere. Has been starting just fine since a small fuse was replaced upon last no-start.
I don’t drive the car often as I have a work vehicle. Had to take the car to school last night due to work vehicle being in another shop, no work completed after last quote because it was starting just fine. 60 mph down the highway and I lose all power including lights, brakes and steering: throwing me between highway barriers, deploying air bags, and nearly taking my life. Last shop to perform work? This one. Are they 100% at fault? Maybe not, but I would think twice about your livelihood before having your vehicle serviced here. Clearly; no longer of the same quality that kept my family returning for so many years. Be safe and go elsewhere.

Took my car there to get evaluated to see if it was worth fixing or not. They were very honest and the cost was extremely reasonable. I appreciated the time they took to check it out. Once I get a better car that needs serviced I will definitely take it to oakmont automotive.

I needed a new battery in my BMW and the auto parts store who tested it was unable to replace it. Fortunately, the regional manager was there and recommended Oakmont Automotive. It was Saturday morning and I was sure they wouldn't be able to take me. However, I was greeted by a very professional gentleman who told me they would fit me in. Less than an hour later I drove out with a new battery installed. The price was reasonable and the service exceeded my expectations. While they our a bit out of the way, I will be back.

Excellent service from start to finish. The staff was professional and courteous, and the work was completed in a timely and efficient manner. I appreciated how smooth and stress-free the whole process was. I would definitely return for future service.
